Since their start in 2007, the Alphens Cossack Choir has built up a beautiful repertoire of authentic Orthodox music and the nostalgic, romantic and uplifting Cossack songs. They have given many concerts at home and abroad. One of the highlights was undoubtedly a tour in Belarus, the homeland of conductor Arkadi Gankin. This performance has sparked a lot with the visitors there and also with the choir members themselves. The performance in the Hermitage in Amsterdam was also a special happening. During the opening weekend of the exhibition about Tsar Peter the Great, the interest was so great that the Church Hall was overcrowded there. And the Alphense Cossacks enjoyed the standing ovation there. The choir sings everything in Russian and always finds much appreciation among the audience for what this language speaks. The Netherlands has a large Russian-speaking community of which our conductor Arkadi Gankin is also a part. It is possible that with this music we can mean something for you and with your cultural background. We look forward to receiving your response at pr@alphenskozakkenkoor.nl
